The thesis presents the process of creating interactive video. The first part of the work presents the development of interactive video, from classic video based on a linear timeline (static video) to interactive video, which includes multiple interactive links.
The rest of the work presents the interactivity and navigation schemes which are being used in the creation of interactive video. The difficulties of producing interactive video are emphasized. Special tools are needed to create interactive video. The work presents the following tools YouTube, Raptmedia and Vidzor. The latter tool was used to create the final project. The guidelines and recommendations presented earlier in the work were followed in the creation of the project.
Based on literature review and available examples, we found out that interactive video increases viewer retention, but only when presented guidelines are closely followed and when the number of links used is not too large.
