This thesis explores different possibilities of interpretation of the songs in comics. In this way it reveals an interdisciplinary filed where comics are linked together with music, song-lyrics and poetry that has not been set to music. Based on the theory and the history of comics it examines its artistic and literary characteristics and focuses on multi-layered structure of comic works which complement poetry with pictorial and sequential communicativeness.
Authorial part of my thesis is about Nesojeni kavboji, an album, which presents its song-lyrics in a form of comics. Several different verses are exposed to demonstrate how they can be upgraded with comics. There is also a description of the entire process, development of drawing and the making of the whole album.Pedagogical part was carried out through the collaboration with high school students that are musically active. Their task was to upgrade some known song-lyrics with comics or illustration.
