Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women both in Slovenia and worldwide. Most breast cancer survivors are women over the age of 50, in whom the effects of cancer treatment and aging often overlap. The combination of breast cancer treatment and aging often results in reduced physical capacity and acute and chronic complications. As a result, breast cancer survivors frequently present with complex medical histories that significantly affect their functional capacity. The aim of this master's thesis was to develop an individualized exercise program for a breast cancer survivor with multiple comorbidities. The primary objective of the intervention was to improve lower-limb strength and muscle mass, thereby reducing hip pain and enhancing overall physical function. A ten-week supervised exercise program was implemented twice a week. Measurements performed before and after the intervention demonstrated significant improvements. Hip abductor strength asymmetry decreased from 35.7 % to 8.5 %. Knee muscle strength also improved, particularly in the extensors, with peak extension torque increasing by 7.6 % in the left leg and 6.7 % in the right leg. Body composition analysis revealed an increase in lower-limb skeletal muscle mass by 12 % in the left leg and 4.99 % in the right leg. Visceral fat decreased by 25 %, and the phase angle increased from 4.7° to 5.4°. Self-reported outcomes also improved, including lower-extremity function (+11 points; +13.75 %), general health (+5 points), and pain (+7.5 points). Chronic hip pain decreased during the intervention. Furthermore, estimated one-repetition maximum (1 RM) increased substantially in all primary exercises, including the leg press (+89 kg; +87.5 %), knee flexion (+16 kg; +69.6 %), knee extension (+9 kg; +25.7 %), and hip abduction (+11 kg; +78.6 %). We conclude that the individualized exercise program positively affected physical performance and the participant's self-reported quality of life and may provide a basis for managing similar cases in kinesiology practice.
