The thesis addresses the design of a Cartesian table manipulator for positioning a measurement chamber used to capture greenhouse gas emissions. The purpose of the developed system is to enable precise and repeatable positioning of the chamber in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The development is based on design methodology, a systematic approach, that enables a structured evaluation of possible design solutions, from defining the system requirements to selecting the most suitable concept. Based on the target characteristics, a functional structure and a morphological matrix were developed. The developed table manipulator concepts were evaluated through selected technical and economic criteria, and the most suitable concept was selected. The outcome of the thesis includes the embodiment design of the horizontal motion mechanism, accompanied by technical documentation and supported by load-bearing capacity calculations.
