The choice of teaching strategy is very important in the classroom, as the right teaching approach can help students understand the material being covered. In our master's thesis, we tested how different teaching strategies affect students' memory of the digestive system. For the purposes of the study, we conducted two different types of lessons at a secondary school: one as a frontal lesson and one as an experiential lesson using a model. Before and after the lessons, the students took a test containing questions about the digestive system. We collected and analyzed the data and compared the results of the two teaching methods. We found that students who only listened to the lecture on the digestive system achieved similar results to those who participated in experiential learning. However, students who participated in experiential learning achieved a slightly greater effect on their knowledge than their classmates.
