In order to determine the content of nitrosamines in cosmetic products on the Slovenian market, we examined them and compared their formulation from the point of view of the potential formation of nitrosamines. This was followed by the development of a procedure for preparing samples that are suitable for analysis using a previously developed instrumental method based on liquid chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry. The method was then validated and used in the analysis of real samples of semi-solid cosmetic products.
