The thesis focuses on a thorough analysis of the challenges of the area of Škofovy zavodovy in Ljubljana, where the key problem is disordered space that leads to degradation and neglect. Dispersed settlement and poor connection to the wider urban environment make integration into the urban fabric difficult. I put emphasis on faster, safer and more enjoyable movement for pedestrians and cyclists, with a high population density and on accessible public and sustainable forms of mobility. The result is an urban design that follows the principles of walkability, sustainable mobility, improved living quality and safety.
