Abstract
Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na temeljito analizo izzivov območja Škofovih zavodov v Ljubljani, kjer je ključna težava neurejen prostor, ki vodi v degradacijo in zanemarjanje. Razpršena poselitev in slaba povezanost s širšim mestnim okoljem otežujeta integracijo v urbano tkivo. Poudarek sem dala na hitrejše, varnejše in prijetnejše gibanje pešcev in kolesarjev, z visoko gostoto prebivalstva ter na dobro dostopne javne in trajnostne oblike mobilnosti. Rezultat je urbanistična zasnova, ki sledi načelom hodljivosti, trajnostne mobilnosti, izboljšanja bivalne kakovosti in varnosti.

Title:
Planning Walkability in a residential area on the example of Škofovi Zavodi in Ljubljana
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on a thorough analysis of the challenges of the area of Škofovy zavodovy in Ljubljana, where the key problem is disordered space that leads to degradation and neglect. Dispersed settlement and poor connection to the wider urban environment make integration into the urban fabric difficult. I put emphasis on faster, safer and more enjoyable movement for pedestrians and cyclists, with a high population density and on accessible public and sustainable forms of mobility. The result is an urban design that follows the principles of walkability, sustainable mobility, improved living quality and safety.
