Podatki so bili obdelani s pomočjo računalniškega programa SPSS (statistical Package for the social Sciences).

Naslov:
The analysis of various influences on the quality of basketball refereeing by referees of different judicial lists in Slovenia
Izvleček:
The purpose of the master’s thesis is to compare and look for differences and similarities between basketball referees of different judicial lists in Slovenia. An online questionnaire was used as a measurement instrument for research. 149 basketball referees were surveyed. The data was processed with the computer program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). For the verification of the hypothesis, we used the Hi-squared and T-test for independent samples. The statistical significance was determined on the basis of a five-percent risk. The results of the research have shown that the main factor that affects the start of a basketball referee’s career is the desire to stay in touch with basketball after the end of their basketball career. All the referees who officiate in the first three basketball leagues warm up before each match. In the fourth basketball league, 40% of referees do not warm up before matches. 57% of referees who officiate younger categories do not warm up before the match. Most referees in the first and second basketball league are warming up for 5 minutes or more. The rest of the referees who warm up before the match spend about 1 to 10 minutes for warming up. Most of the basketball referees are active in sport at least once a week in an organized or a non-organized sports activity. Differences were also found between basketball referees for officiating different offenses. We were partially successful in confirming the hypotheses. We found out that referees who officiate in the first and second basketball leagues spend more time preparing for each match by analyzing matches and they also participate in additional education more often than the referees that officiate in the third and fourth basketball leagues. With a 5% risk, we claim that there are no statistically significant differences between basketball referees, given the frequency of active engagement in organized or non-organized sports activities and referees playing basketball in the past. We did not find any difference between basketball referees of the membership categories and referees officiating younger categories, according to the frequency of the situation (unsportsmanlike or personal error; difficulty detecting steps; a small personal error or a big personal error; a hit for two or three points; a personal error of the attacker or defensive player). Referees who are officiating the membership basketball league disagree with the introduction of an additional assessment of officiating by coaches and captains. Referees who have been officiating for more than three years are less affected by the offensive language from the audience, players and officials than referees who have been officiating for less than four years.
