Razvoj ženske košarke v Pulju v obdobju od leta 1998 : diplomsko delo

Tema diplomskega dela je predstavitev začetkov igranja košarke v Pulju ter razvoj ženskega košarkarskega kluba Pulj. Začetek košarke v Pulju je povezan s prvo košarkarsko žogo, ki je prišla v mesto, in sicer iz Italije. Košarka v Pulju se torej igra že več kot 80 let, z nekaj vmesnimi prekinitvami. Začetek ženskega košarkarskega kluba Pulj sega v leto 1997, najprej z igranjem v drugi hrvaški ligi. V prvi ligi so prvič nastopile v sezoni 2007/08, v kateri uspešno igrajo še danes. Odtlej je klub doživel vzpone in padce, od boja za obstanek v ligi do osvojitve tretjega mesta. Prejšnja leta je bilo uspešno tudi sodelovanje s slovenskimi klubi, vendar je vsako leto slabše. Zaradi organizacije igranja v prvi ligi na Hrvaškem ni več časa, da bi se kot nekdaj hodilo na mini priprave v Kranjsko Goro. Sodelovanje sedaj poteka samo na pripravljalnem memorialnem turnirju ki ga organizira puljski klub. Do sedaj se ga je vsako leto udeležila vsaj ena slovenska ekipa. Mlajše kategorije kluba so bile precej uspešne, kako na regijskem tekmovanju kakor na državnem in šolskem. Kadetska ekipa je v sezoni 2004/2005 osvojila peto mesto v državi. Z generacijo 91/92/93 so trikrat zapored osvojile božični turnir. Šolska ekipa OŠ Šijana je v šolskem letu 2006/07 na šolskem tekmovanju dosegla tretje mesto v državi.

Izvleček

This paper's thesis is to present the origin of basketball play in Pula and the development of women's basketball club Pula. The development of basketball in Pula started with the first basketball ball coming to the town, brought from Italy. The basketball in Pula has been around over 80 years, with several interruptions in between. The start of the women's basketball club Pula began in 1997 playing in the second Croatian league. In the first league they played in the 2007/08 season for the first time in which they are still playing successfully. In the previous years partnerships with Slovenian clubs have been very successful, but unfortunately it's weaker every year. Because of the organization of the first league in Croatia, there is no more time to go to Kranjska gora for mini-preparations. Participation now comes only through a preparatory memorable tournament organized by the Pula's club. So far, at least one Slovenian team participated each year. The younger categories of the club have had a lot of success at the county and inter-county championships, both in state and school championships. The Cadet Team won the fifth place in the state in the 2004/2005 season. With the generation of 91/92/93, the Christmas tournament was won for three consecutive years. Šijana's school team at the school year 2006/07 won the third place in the country at the school championship.
