Construction is one of the industries which can through the implementation of construction works have a negative impact on the aquatic environment. This graduation thesis presents the control measures to mitigate the effects of erosion and sedimentation, and associated water pollution during construction works in the watercourse areas. In the first part of the thesis we present main impacts, and how important is their identification for further planning of erosion and sedimentation prevention measures. We also present measures and methods to protect the aquatic environment from pollution. Finally, the implementation of these measures is presented and shown in the case of the reconstruction of the weir on the river Sava.
