This thesis deals with the acquisition of a mortgage credit at Nova Ljubljanska banka, d.d. The main issue of the existing process of acquiring such a credit is the amount of activities in individual departments that could be merged by performing them simultaneously.
The first part discusses the issue of the process and presents the goals and the purpose of the thesis.
The second part contains the theoretical grounds for better understanding of the business process. It also describes the phases of renewing the business process, the goals and the purpose of the renovation, and modelling and techniques. Moreover, it provides insight into the organisation which has the said business process in place.
The final part attempts to determine the weaknesses of the existing process using IGrafix simulation software. The results are used for the renovation of the procedure, which is analysed in order to determine whether it is faster than before. The hypothesis was confirmed.
