The Master thesis covers point clouds filtering for close-range capture and calculations of the volume of deposited building material. The paper presents photogrammetric point clouds as data sources. Moreover, it describes the method of obtaining these clouds and their applicability. The test area and software used for implementation of filtering and calculation of volumes are defined in the paper. Carried out operations of clipped test areas, filtering point clouds, interpolations of the surface and calculations of volumes are described. Results of the research are identified and analysed. Conclusions on the impact of automated and manual procedures to calculate volumes are given in the paper, together with conclusions on the effectiveness of individual software for filtering of point clouds, as well as conclusions on the impact of spatial resolution point clouds on the calculated volume. Those conclusions may be useful for future software or photogrammetric point clouds users.
