Introduction: The incidence of cesarean section is steeply rising. In comparison with world's major countries (United States of America) the occurrence in Slovenia is stil low. Because of its factors, the mother and newborn are often separated after birth, and it's also coherent with unsuccessful breastfeeding result. The bond between mother and the baby is very strong, therefore the suitably behavior at that kind of birth is important. This can significantly impact on presence of troubles and uneasiness in puerperium. Purpose: The purpose of thesis is to present impact of ceasrean section on the establishment of lactation and emotional bonding between mother and newborn. Work methods: Descriptive method was used for the thesis. It was formed on the basis of the collection, review, evaluation and analysis of domestic and foreign scientific writings in Slovenian and English languages. Databases Cobiss, PubMed, Science Direct, Medline, Cohrane in Google Schoolar were used. Discussion and conclusion: Cesarean section is offten related to separated treatment of mother and infant. Tendecy to enableing emotional bonding is therefore crucial, because has a good impact on mother and newborn. Recuperation after cesarean section is in comparison with vaginal birth more difficult. Providing early contact, bonding and breastfeeding, the quality of perinatal care is raising and his impact on later period. The author is also presenting his own poster, wich is intendet to all women, wich will have a cesaean setion and want to breastfeed after it.
