Vibration measurment and analysis is important for monitoring the quality of production of electromotors. With frequency analysis of vibrations we are able to to detect bad units and also determine the part of electromotor wich is the source of failure.
In this master thesis I presented the concept of measurment system based on Zedboard development board, with instaled FreeRTOS operating system. Also signal procesing in time and frequency domain is presented. Speciality of Zedboard is that it is based on Xilinx Zynq System On Chip (SoC). Powerfull dual core microprocessor is able to run operating system and at the same time programable logic allow us to run time consuming tasks.
Sampling and signal processing is done for one chanell at the moment. Frequency analysis is presented with windowing functions and their influence on results. Then avaraging and overlapping of frequency spectras is presented. Next RMS (Root Mean Square) calculation is used for calculating power in three separated frequency bands. At the end the comparison between made measuring system and professional measuring system LMS Scadas is done.
