One of European Union’s main goals is the improvement of the environment. Republic Slovenia has on the basis of Head Office of the EU from this sphere accepted National Program for Environment Protection, which also contains a part about protection of water.
This thesis presents the analysis and consequences of accepting the Operative Program of draining off and cleaning communal wastewater on the concrete cases in villages Potok, Mačkovec and Dolga Njiva in the Municipality of Trebnje. In introductional chapters of the thesis the situation in the discussed rural area is presented. Then there is given a look in the basic notions and legislation according to the hierarchy by Head Office of the EU, national legislation and also communal operative orders from this sphere. At the same time, the thesis also shows the review of measures in the Municipality of Trebnje.
Further, the thesis gives a suggestion and analyses six variants of concrete cases of equipping villages and towns with required infrastructure for draining off and cleaning communal wastewater including a small wastewater treatment plant. Tables and a graph are clearly showing the comparison of the costs of a single variant. The most expensive is a small wastewater treatment plant. Further, there is made a presentation about financial abilities of investing for an individual and for the Municipality of Trebnje.
In the conclusion, there is given a comment about realization of the obligations Republic Slovenia has to European Union with possible consequences.
