This thesis addresses the problem of inefficient and unclear inventory management in volunteer fire brigades in Slovenia. Different approaches and paper-based records often result in errors, outdated information, and poor organization. The analysis also examined the Vulkan application, developed by the Firefighters’ Association of Slovenia and LOGOS company from Kranj, as well as several other inventory management tools. Vulkan provides a comprehensive solution for inventory management, but does not include a dedicated solution for stocktaking, which is the main focus of this thesis. As asolution, the thesis presents DGI– Digitalni gasilski inventar (Digital Firefighting Inventory), a simple digital application for managing firefighting equipment and performing stocktaking. It enables users to enter, review, and search for equipment and perform stocktaking using temporary users. The application is built using Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL. Its main contribution is a practical stocktaking solution tailored to the needs of volunteer fire brigades in Slovenia.
