B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is a membrane protein specifically expressed on the surface of B lymphocytes. BCMA is a promising target for the treatment of B-cell malignancies; therefore, we aimed to develop antibodies against BCMA that would bind to BCMA expressed on live cells. To this end, we generated a broad panel of antibodies using hybridoma technology. The specificity and affinity of the antibodies were assessed by flow cytometry. A MACS Quant flow cytometer and an ImageStream imaging flow cytometer were used for testing. The antibodies obtained were used to stain various commercially available cell lines that differ in the level of BCMA expression.
