Slovenian tarock is a card game usually played by four players. We developed an application that allows players to play the game, each on their own phone. The server and client use the same software package containing the game rules, ensuring that they always agree on which moves are legal. If a player leaves during a game, the computer takes their place, allowing the other players to continue playing. The application was developed using the Flutter framework. All table elements adapt to the screen size, keeping the table easy to read even on a small phone. We evaluated the user experience using a heuristic evaluation and a user study. The evaluation revealed no major violations, and none of the study participants encountered any serious difficulties. We also found that the reviewed game evaluation criteria do not check whether a digital game remains faithful to its physical counterpart. Finally, we measured the performance of the server, which easily handles several hundred concurrent players.
