This thesis provides an overview of the concept of soredje or juxtaposition in selected Slovenian linguistic texts. We focus on the research of Jože Toporišič and more recent research of Dejan Gabrovšek. The findings are critically examined, and we present some reservations as well as perspectives put forward by other linguists. We also analyze selected journalistic texts and identify the types of soredje that occur most frequently, which are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The thesis concludes with our own perspective on the topic and suggestions for further research. We decided to translate soredje as juxtapositions, although the two terms are not fully equivalent in their respective linguistic traditions.
