This thesis examines the potential application of Autodesk InfraWorks in Slovenia for the planning, 3D visualization and analysis of infrastructure projects. InfraWorks enables the creation of a contextual digital terrain model for the design of roads, railways, and water bodies. Owing to its ability to provide a rapid and clear visualization of design solutions, the software is particularly suitable for preliminary design and the presentation of infrastructure projects. Moreover, its user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other Autodesk software facilitate its incorporation into existing design workflows. The first part of the study presents the basic functionalities of the software through a case study. A digital terrain model was generated. A road alignment with structures was incorporated and the proposed roads were connected to the existing road network. Subsequently, selected advanced functionalities of the software were examined. To further enhance the visualization and spatial understanding of the proposed infrastructure, a video animation was created. The final section consists of the main advantages, limitations and potential improvements based on the insights gained during the thesis.
