Air dehumidification is an important part of air-conditioning processes, as it affects the provision of suitable indoor conditions and the energy efficiency of systems. In this thesis, condensation, sorption and membrane dehumidification technologies are analysed and compared based on a literature review. Their basic operating principles, thermodynamic processes, control and monitoring methods, as well as the requirements of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, are discussed. Individual dehumidification processes are also presented in enthalpy-humidity diagrams, allowing for their comparison. The main advantages and limitations of the individual technologies, as well as their development trends, are also examined. The comparison shows that the technologies differ in terms of energy requirements, achievable humidity levels, moisture removal methods and areas of application. The selection of an appropriate system therefore depends primarily on the required operating conditions, intended application and energy-efficiency requirements.
