The aim of this thesis was to map in detail the invasive alien plant species (IAPS) in the southern part of the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šišenski hrib Landscape Park, with a focus on their distribution along paths, and to determine the relationship between distance from paths and the occurrence of IAPS. Fieldwork was carried out from 21 May to 11 June 2026 using the Survey123 application, and the data were processed cartographically in ArcGIS Pro 3.0.0. A total of 853 records of IAPS were collected within an area of approximately 98,687 m², with an estimated total of over 25,000 plants. The most common species were Indian strawberry, annual fleabane, small balsam and Canadian goldenrod. The results show that more than half (53%) of IAPS grow directly along paths, within 1 m, an additional 36% within a 3 m zone, while only 11% grow more than 3 m away. IAPS occur most frequently in areas with sufficient light and space, such as the edges of gravel roads and thinned forest, and least frequently in dense forest. The findings confirm that paths significantly contribute to the spread of invasive alien plants by creating favourable conditions for them and by facilitating their dispersal through people and animals. To limit the spread of IAPS, careful forest management, avoidance of large-scale clearing and prevention of planting invasive species in nearby gardens are recommended.
