This thesis presents the design and optimisation of composite A-arms for a Formula Student race car with the aim of reducing mass while maintaining the required load-bearing capacity and reliability. The thesis describes the material selection process, structural design, and the preparation of the bonded joint between the aluminium insert and the composite tube. The proposed design was validated through tensile, compressive and fatigue testing, and the obtained results were used to optimise the final design.
