The purpose of this study was to investigate the early stages of silver nano spiral growth and the influence of 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) and hydrogen peroxide (H$_2$O$_2$) on their growth. By conducting experiments at various molar ratios $\frac{n(MPA)}{n(Ag)}$ and analyzing them using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), we determined the optimal ratio for silver nano spiral growth to be 0.01. In the next step, we studied the effect of added H$_2$O$_2$ at this ratio using electron diffraction analysis and reciprocal space reconstruction, where we observed the elongation of diffraction spots into arcs. This confirms the bending of crystal planes and the rotation of the crystal lattice during the growth of the nano spirals.
