The collection contains a description of research data generated and processed as part of the doctoral dissertation entitled Deprescribing proton pump inhibitors among patients with lung cancer. It includes a README file describing the research components, data sources and data collection methods, data processing, software used, ethical considerations, and conditions for data access. The spreadsheet contains descriptions of variables and their coding, as well as aggregate and derived research results. These relate to an umbrella review on deprescribing, a retrospective observational cohort study investigating the association between proton pump inhibitor exposure and overall survival in patients with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors, a qualitative study with general practitioners, a multicentre cross-sectional study of attitudes of patients with cancer towards deprescribing medicines and proton pump inhibitors, and a prospective feasibility study of deprescribing proton pump inhibitors during lung cancer diagnostics. The collection also includes an interview guide for general practitioners and a protocol for deprescribing proton pump inhibitors in patients with solid tumours, which was used in the prospective feasibility study. The collection does not contain individual-level participant data, audio recordings or interview transcripts, or other data for which access is restricted because of data protection, confidentiality, or ethical requirements.
