This bachelor’s thesis presents the application of the DFMEA method in the development and design of an injection molding tool. The introductory part defines the problem of the impact of design-related errors on the performance of injection molding tools and the associated costs, as well as the main objective of the thesis, which is to implement DFMEA analysis and propose appropriate measures to reduce identified risks. The theoretical background chapter presents the injection molding process, the structure and operation of injection molding tools, and the development and design phase of the analyzed tool within the company. The research methodology chapter provides a theoretical description of the DFMEA method and its individual steps applied during the design of the injection molding tool. The fourth chapter presents the practical implementation of the DFMEA method in a step-by-step approach for the selected injection molding tool, including documentation and analysis of the obtained results. The concluding chapter summarizes the main findings of the thesis and provides recommendations for further work and the transition of the tool design into the manufacturing phase.
