The thesis presents a comparison of examination programs for obtaining the Short Range Certificate (SRC) for operating with a short-range radio station. In Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and under the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). The VHF-DSC radio station represents a fundamental means of communication for ensuring navigational safety in coastal areas.
The results of the comparison indicate that the requirements for operating a radio station are broadly similar across all examined programs. Although certain differences can be observed in the scope and structure of the covered material. These differences mainly concern the level of detail devoted to individual thematic sections and do not significantly effect the competence required for the safe and effective operation of the radio station.
