In my master’s thesis, I explore the theme of everyday life through the long-term practice of
keeping visual diaries. In the theoretical part, I address a critical understanding of the problem
of everyday life, especially in the work of French philosophers and theorists after the Second
World War, such as Lefebvre, Perec, De Certeau, and Barthes. I present the exploration of
everyday life through examples from artists such as Messager, Schrauwen, Orozco, and
Shore. In the practical part, I chronologically present my visual diaries, which I developed on
a daily basis over the past three years. I describe the process of developing the diaries, how
my everyday life influenced them and vice versa. I also present some individual aspects of the
diaries, such as abstraction, writing, spaces, and other similar aspects.
