Psychotherapy is recommended for people of all age groups; however, many cannot afford it, especially young individuals without regular income. This bachelor’s thesis addresses this issue and explores the potential of generative artificial intelligence as a supportive tool in the field of mental health. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement a mobile application that provides emotional support and contributes to the improvement of users’ mental health through modern artificial intelligence approaches. The solution is tailored for mobile devices, as these are the most widely used among young people. Special emphasis is placed on system architecture, the integration of local and cloud-based large language models, and ensuring data privacy and security. The outcome of the thesis is a functional application prototype and an evaluation of its usability.
