The master's thesis deals with the planning and modelling of curved wooden stairs with a railing. The task was completed in collaboration with Mizarstvo Jezeršek d.o.o. The first part presents an overview of different types of stairs and railings, including modern design trends and ergonomic and functional requirements. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part, which demonstrates the planning and modelling process. The work methods are based on computer-aided design using BricsCAD and TopSolid software tools. It was found that using both programmes in combination with parametric design techniques allows for easier, faster, and more accurate modelling and more efficient error correction. The task included the creation of complete construction documentation and plans for the production of curved stairs with railings. The process of modelling and designing the product in question is also presented, along with a description of the materials used,
construction details, manufacturing processes, and the assembly and installation of the final product.
