This thesis presents the design and development of a web platform for organizing recreational sports and connecting people who want to train or play together.
The platform addresses the challenge of finding teammates for recreational sports activities, which is a common barrier to regular physical activity.
The developed application enables the users to register and create profiles with information about sports, skill level, and location.
A friendship system makes it possible to build networks of teammates, while the event creation functionality supports different visibility levels: private, friends-only, and public.
Organizers can invite friends to events, and invitees can confirm or decline attendance through an RSVP system.
The application additionally enables the discovery of events and users based on location and interests, and includes privacy settings.
To develop the application, we used modern web technologies: Next.js for the user interface, Node.js for the backend system, and PostgreSQL for the database.
The evaluation showed that the platform successfully addresses the problem of recreational sports organization and offers an intuitive user experience.
