This two-part article presents the activities of the Slovenian Public Libraries Association (the Association), from 1992, when the public libraries established the Union of Public Libraries, the successor to which is the Association, until the beginning of 2024. This article, which is the second part, presents the second and third decade of operation. The development and activities of the Association are discussed chronologically, with the article highlighting all the professional and legislative milestones that have, with the aim of regulating library activities, marked the library profession, the implementation of library services, and the network of public libraries. It presents the function, significance, and role of the Association and highlights its commitment to representing the common interests of all public libraries in the professional and general public and to co-shaping national, global, and cultural-political definitions in the field of public libraries.
