Czechs (including Moravians) as literary characters have a strong presence in Slovenian literature. This article shows how their imagological character has changed over time. It relies on folk poetry, Gregorčič’s poems, Govekar’s and Cankar’s prose, and Murnik’s humor among older literature, on fragments of Kosmač’s and Zupan’s novels and Šalamun’s poetry from the first decades after the Second World War, and on Skubić, Čater, Cestnik, and Liu Zakrajšek among younger authors.
