Adolescent sexual health represents an important aspect of public health; however, sex education in Chinese schools remains insufficient. This thesis analyzes the importance of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) based on official reports from international organizations and examines scientific articles and research to understand key obstacles to the implementation of CSE in the Chinese context. Findings indicate that these obstacles are primarily political, institutional, and socio-cultural, closely linked to historical developments, traditional values, and prevailing norms regarding sexuality. Despite existing challenges, the analysis shows gradual improvements compared to the past, especially with the support of international guidelines and growing public awareness.
