Rapid technological advancement affects all aspects of education, including military-legal training. This field is facing a lack of adequate visual materials that would help learners better understand complex legal situations.
The Legal Affairs Sector of Slovenian army turned to the Research and Simulation Unit, whose main task is modeling, simulation and visualization of various combat and non-combat military operations. Within the scope of this master’s thesis, we focused on the digitalization and modernization of the current military-legal education approach. This was achieved through the development of a new didactic tool and introduction of modern technologies, such as virtual reality and multimedia content. To evaluate the final outcome, we conducted an extensive user experiment, through which we collected all the essential data for analyzing the user interface and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the individual solutions.
The goal is to modernize the current state of military-legal education, providing legal professionals with access to high-quality training and preparing them for rapid decision-making and the resolution of real-world problems.
