The article examines quantitative phrases with collective numerals, such as slvn. troje vrat
‛three doors’ and troja vrata ‛three types of doors.’ It highlights the distinctive characteristics
of the utilization of such numerals in Slovene and compares them with analogous quantitative
expressions in Štokavian and Russian. The analysis emphasizes the morphosyntactical features
of the constructions and the issue of collocability of the nouns employed in these constructions.
