The first part of the monograph provides a broad overview of the literature dealing with various pedagogical and didactic theories, paradigms, and perspectives of recent times. It presents a summary of the basic principles of contemporary learning environments, which are discussed in the rest of the monograph. The second part presents in detail teaching with pedagogical models that follow contemporary trends in education and training. There is no literature on this type of teaching in Slovenia, although it has already been extensively researched and established abroad. The monograph focuses on collaborative learning, which has very positive effects on various aspects of children's development in sports training (this is also explained in the monograph with the results of numerous studies). This monograph is the first in Slovenia to present collaborative learning in sports training in detail. Although there are monographs in foreign literature that deal with the same topic, the contribution of this monograph is that collaborative learning in sports is adapted to our circumstances. In addition to a comprehensive explanation of this pedagogical model and its key features, it also provides numerous examples of its practical application, making the monograph extremely useful. It is intended for researchers and university teachers, as well as sports educators and coaches of young athletes. It represents an important basis for the further development of pedagogy and didactics in sports in our country, which is necessary and eagerly awaited.
