In the doctoral thesis, the different contexts of the appearance of Slovenian fashion from 1945 to 2024 are discussed. Slovenian fashion is analyzed in terms of time, in geographical specifics, in the context of political changes, under the influence of economic factors, within social circumstances, in relation to cultural influences and sustainable global demands. Qualitative analysis of collected data on Slovenian fashion offers a comprehensive insight into its specificity in historical reflections, which were divided into seven periods for the purposes of the research: manufacturing production from 1900 to 1945, the emergence of the clothing industry after 1945, structural changes in the 1960s, the boom of the clothing industry in the 1970s, unstable conditions in the 1980s. century, the emergence of independent fashion designers after 1990 and the incorporation of sustainable practices in the 21st century. Within historical periods, we verified and analyzed the impacts of identified parameter changes in contextual reflections of the appearance of fashion and clothing culture in Slovenia. We identified the key factors in different periods that influenced the emergence of Slovenian fashion, determined the parameters of the social, cultural, economic and political environment that influenced the development of Slovenian fashion and evaluated the parameters of the temporal, geographical and sustainable context of the emergence of Slovenian fashion. By analyzing and comparing various contexts, we determined the importance and placement of Slovenian fashion in relation to global factors and trends.
