The master’s thesis analyses the long-term impact of the Local Action Group Za mesto in vas, which comprises six municipalities: Domžale, Komenda, Medvode, Mengeš, Trzin and Vodice. The aim of the study was to analyse the specific long-term impacts, which can vary depending on the project in the area of the aforementioned LAS. An extended analysis, which included a rating scale of selected indicators, enabled a comparison between different projects. The focus was on the benefits experienced by the local population during implementation and after completion of the project. The analysis showed that the connection between the partners and their previous cooperation have a very strong influence. The public partner is an important link in public funding. In social projects, long-term sustainability is questionable or requires more time than in investment projects, where results are achieved more quickly. When the cultural and/or environmental dimension is added, such projects tend to be even more successful than those without this dimension. The project leader plays a crucial role in the implementation of projects; the more active they are, the more this is reflected in the participation in events and the longevity of the project. A motivated local community also has a major influence.
