The master's thesis addresses the field of artificial intelligence technology governance in small and medium-sized enterprises, where the introduction of these technologies brings numerous challenges, since existing governance frameworks are not fully adapted to their specific characteristics. Within the research, an approach is developed that enables such enterprises to identify and evaluate key elements of artificial intelligence technology governance. Methodologically, the proposed approach is based on a questionnaire through which stakeholders assess the importance of the identified governance elements. It is tested in a case study within a specific enterprise. The results show that the approach helps the enterprise gain a better understanding of its current situation, recognize priority areas for improvement, and develop tailored strategies for the effective introduction and governance of artificial intelligence technologies. At the same time, the results confirm that the approach provides the enterprise with a foundation for long-term planning and maturity growth in governance and serves as a starting point for further adaptations in the broader context of small and medium-sized enterprises.
