The theoretical part of the thesis presents catechesis in the period before, during, and after the coronavirus epidemic in the Ljutomer deanery. The empirical part of the thesis explores the course of catechesis during the epidemic and presents the changes caused by the epidemic, with an emphasis on the challenges and opportunities brought about by the use of digital tools and adapted forms of remote catechesis. The analysis showed that the epidemic strengthened the importance of the family as the fundamental space for catechesis, while also highlighting the need for further development of digital approaches. The thesis presents the guidelines and new documents on which the new catechesis guidelines are based. In the last part, the thesis presents family catechesis as one of the successful, already functioning paths of catechesis, and presents a concrete example and the opinions of parents who are already involved in family catechesis.
