The diploma thesis titled “The Impact of Advertising on the Rural Environment: The Case of the Village of Livade in Croatian Istria” highlights the current issue of polluting rural space with advertising elements for various activities, which can quickly overpower the area. For context, the thesis focuses on the Istrian village of Livade in Croatia, through which the Parenzana cycling route run, thanks to its growing prominence, it attracts tourists to the area. The aim of the thesis is to show how advertising in rural areas can ruin the character and appearance of a location, and to propose solutions that would allow advertising in this setting to occur in a more discreet and appropriate manner.
