This undergraduate thesis deals with the settlement of uskoks to the Karst area in 15. and 16. century. In the beginning of the thesis, the focus is mainly put on the different factors that influenced the immigration of uskoks and on the economic state of Karst at the end of 15. and beginning of the 16. Century. What follows is the analysis of the uskoks' immigration process, their position within the new area and the problem of their integration. I included the factors, that influenced how (un)successful the settlement of uskoks in Karst was and what eventually happened to them. At the end I present an insight into what remains of uskoks in the modern day.
