This Bachelor's thesis discusses tourism development in the municipality of Gorje. Its findings are based on the analysis of literature, relevant strategic documents, statistical data, and extensive fieldwork. The municipality is recognized for its many natural and cultural-historical attractions, of which the Vintgar Gorge is by far the most important tourist attraction. Various associations have a key role in the development and management of tourism, particularly the Gorje Tourist Association (Turistično društvo Gorje), which manages the Vintgar Gorge. In addition, the Municipality of Gorje and the Triglav National Park administration contribute significantly to the development of tourism. The Gorje area is considered a recognized tourist destination, so classic promotion and advertising are not the main priorities. Based on strategic documents and an interview conducted at the Gorje Tourist Association, the main priorities are to ensure a high-quality tourist experience, maintain satisfaction among both the visitors and the local residents, as well as to protect the natural environment.
