In my diploma thesis I focused on the concept of conformism in the dramas Rhinoceros and An Event in the City of Goga. In the theoretical part, I researched the concept itself and its meaning in various dictionaries and, with the help of professional literature, outlined the essential conditions that must be met for a given situation to be true conformism and not similar phenomena. I supported such theoretical statements with examples of recognized experiments in the field of psychology. I also shed light on the subtypes of conformism: active and passive conformism and political conformism. In the practical part, I created actant models of both dramas and analyzed them using examples from the texts. I explained in detail the individual actants of each drama and their role in the story, and compared them with each other. At the same time, I also determined to what extent and for what probable reasons the conformist mentality influenced individual actants and characters.
