The final seminar paper deals with the Chapel of the Holy Trinity at Borl Castle. It focuses on the period when the castle was owned by the Sauer family and on the alterations commissioned by its members. A major part of the paper presents and discusses the chapel’s furnishings. Special emphasis is placed on the interior decoration of the chapel. The discussion includes the altars, paintings, sculptures, frescoes, stucco decorations, and other objects that were located in the chapel during the given period. The paper highlights the issue of insufficient research of these objects, mostly because they were stolen in the 20th century, and today their existence is documented only through photographs. It also raises the question of the authorship of the sculptures and stucco work.
