The cooperation of the kindergarten with the environment plays an important role in shaping the child's perception of the world in which he lives. This diploma thesis deals with the integration of firefighters into the life and work of the kindergarten and the role of the educator in cooperation with the local environment and firefighters. It consists of theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents the cooperation of the kindergarten with the environment and the importance of connecting with the local community. The following presents the fire stations, the connection of kindergartens with fire stations and the role of the educator in planning and organization. The empirical work uses interviews with educators to identify differences that occur when integrating firefighting into the life and work of the kindergarten.
The research results show, that preschool teachers evaluate the kindergarten's cooperation with fire departments as meaningful and useful. They include the topic of firefighting in their activities in various ways, with the content mainly related to the field of Society. Firefighter visits allow children to have practical experience with various firefighting equipment.
