In my painting focus on exploring the discarded, waste objects in everyday, intimate spaces. Decaying objects, imprinted with traces of bodies, suggest mental and physical decay. Waste material, especially organic waste, has always represented another kind of discomfort. By confronting it, we are forced to come to terms with the inevitable end and our own mortality. The tenderness of drapery is transformed into anxiety. I explore what is rejected, ignored, I try to blur the boundaries between the organic and the inorganic, the living and the non-living.
