This diploma thesis focuses on the development and production of communication materials for Housing strategy of Kranjska Gora Municipality. The objectives included presenting the process of creating a visual identity, producing printed and digital communication materials, and preparing photographic and video content. The purpose of the work was to present the main aspects of the project to the public in a clear and appealing way and to encourage active public participation.
The theoretical part describes the design process and the fundamental principles of graphic design. It introduces the basic elements that constitute a visual identity, as well as the main digital and printed communication materials.
The experimental part first outlined the importance of a coherent visual identity in addressing the target audience, followed by a detailed description of its development process. The next step involved introducing the project and the client, highlighting the importance of collaboration for the further development of the content. An analysis of the visual identities of similar projects in Slovenia and abroad was carried out, serving as a foundation for the design development. This was followed by the creation of the visual identity, which included the development of a logotype, the definition of a color palette, and the selection of primary typography. Various communication materials were produced, from posters promoting the public discussion to digital posts for social media and the municipal website. Additionally, the final project publication, a promotional video, and a photographic collection were prepared to support the overall communication strategy.
The thesis provides an insight into the process of creating communication materials for socially engaged projects and emphasizes the importance of consistent visual communication in enhancing project visibility, improving the comprehensibility of information, and fostering greater engagement among the public.
